About the Recipe
France and Belgium are credited as origins of the waffle. In the late 14th century, the first known waffle recipe was penned in an anonymous manuscript, Le Ménagier de Paris, written by a husband as a set of instructions to his young wife. This husband would have been very pleased if his young wife would have prepared the waffles from this recipe. Cooked to a golden brown and topped with a nut butter and fruit.

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup ground flax seed
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tsp cinnamon
1 medium banana
2 cups plant based milk
1 /12 TBS of maple syrup or 2 dates
Preparation
Preheat non stick waffle iron
Put all the ingredients in a high speed blender and bend until smooth
pour batter into waffle iron and cook to manufactures directions
